Welcome back to This Week, our regular roundup of the latest new releases to enjoy at Blockbuster.co.uk this week. We're here to help you to get the most out of BLOCKBUSTER®
New and Exclusive to BLOCKBUSTER®
The Young Victoria EXCLUSIVE! - Out Friday
Emily Blunt, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson and Jim Broadbent star in this fantastic film about the early life of the young Queen Victoria. While plenty of films have concentrated on the tragedy in Victoria's life, particularly the death of her true love Prince Albert, very few movies have focused on how she was to become Queen in the first place. The Young Victoria tells the story of the Victoria's ascension to the throne, right through the first few turbulent years of her rule. We get to see Victoria meet Albert for the very first time, and her troubled relationship with her family - who are trying to control her for their own ends. We see young Victoria go from the height of popularity to being marred by scandal and controversy. This is a lavish production - the entire cast are brilliant (particularly Paul Bettany as Lord Melbourne); and is highly recommended to rent.

Hush - EXCLUSIVE! - Out Friday
Beth (Christine Bottomley) and Zakes (William Ash) are a couple travelling home on the M1, where they witness a woman caged in the back of a white lorry - human trafficking from the Continent to England. After contacting the police, they continue their journey as if nothing had happened, but when the trafficker comes back and this time kidnaps Beth. Zakes embarks on a one man crusade to recover his girlfriend and put the traffickers out of business for good. A decent British road thriller written and directed by Radio 1 DJ Mark Tonderai, Hush is only available at Blockbuster.

Secret of Moonacre - EXCLUSIVE! - Out Friday
Based on the award winning children's book The Little White Horse and from the director of Bridge to Terabithia; The Secret of Moonacre tells the story of Maria, an orphaned 13 year old girl who moves in with an eccentric uncle Sir Benjamin when her father dies and discovers magic and wonder exploring her new surroundings - Moonacre Valley. All Maria inherited from her Dad was a strange book - but through this book, she discovers her destiny - she's the last Moon Princess, and it is up to her to settle an ancient family feud and bring peace to the valley. A good family film that doesn't bombard you with special effects but has a decent story that's easy enough to follow; this is well worth a watch.

Movie Highlights
Surveillance
Bill Pullman, Julia Ormond and Michael Ironside star in this crime thriller directed by Jennifer Lynch (daughter of David Lynch). Ormond and Pullman play FBI Agents Elizabeth Anderson and Sam Hallaway, assigned to track down an elusive serial killer with the help of three survivors from previous attacks. Unfortunately for the agents, each of these unexpected witnesses - a drug using teen, a young girl and a police officer - tell completely different stories. The two agents have to investigate the crime in order to reveal the truth. A decent enough thriller, I can't say any more without giving away the plot.
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Based on the best selling book - Isla Fisher stars as Rebecca Bloomwood, a self confessed shopaholic; her obsession with shopping and spending money has got her in a lot of hot water and she is spending money that she actually doesn't have. Rebecca's ambition is to write for a prestigious fashion magazine (run by Kristin Scott Thomas) and applies for a job, however discovers that they are only recruiting internally to fill the position. With this in mind, she looks for a position in one of the other publications released by the magazine group and finds herself in the unlikely position of working for a Savings magazine - becoming an instant hit. But as both her fame and her attraction to her dashing boss grows, Rebecca has to face up to her debts and deal with these before the world discovers that she is a fraud.

Rachel Getting Married
An excellent dramedy from prolific director Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs, The Manchurian Candidate, Philadelphia); Ann Hathaway secured a much-deserved Best Actress nomination for her role as a struggling drug addict who is released from rehab to participate in the wedding of her sister Rachel. Kym (Hathaway) returns home to find the family home invaded by legions of planners, musicians, friends and guests around for Rachel's wedding. Having to first cope with her supportive but obviously disapproving family, she is then bombarded with all the issues of the wedding. More drama than comedy, this feels like a cross between Hope Floats / 28 Days and The Last Kiss. Well worth a watch.

Game of the Week
A franchise that needs little in the way of introduction, having been about since 1991(!); EA SPORTS have excelled themselves with the latest Tiger Woods endorsed PGA Tour golf game. Tiger Woods 10 is the only golf game that you should buy. Not only does this version offer real time weather updates (i.e. if there is a gale on the course you're playing, then there will be a gale in the game also); but it is also one of the most accessible golf games - easy enough for anyone to get to grips with.
All the old courses are here, all souped up with next gen console graphics and physics, plus there are a number of new ones - including Bethpage Black, Torrey Pines, and Oakmont. While best of all, EA SPORTS have tinkered with the club distances to make the game much more realistic (putting is much improved) and added both US Open and USGA Championship modes to the game which really extend the life of the game.
Add to this the range of single player, multi-player and online game modes, and you've got the best golf game in golf game history. If you've got a Wii, the game has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of the new Wii Motion Plus, which gives you more control over your play. (don't worry, it also works with the regular Wii controller as well).
