It's always been Dewy Finn's dream to win the 'battle of the bands' but with his best friend Ned quitting rock to make a living as a professional substitute teacher/hen-pecked-boyfriend and his sell-out band mates dropping him from the line up, things don't look too good. Forming a new band of his own seems the only way to go. When Dewy intercepts a call for Ned about a high paying substitute teaching position at a prestigious private school he gets an idea: all he has to do is tell the school that he's Ned, sit in front of a bunch of bored kids, tell them to shut-up at incidental intervals and ask to be paid in cash at the end of the day. But when he finds out how proficient some of the kids are at music he develops a whole new plan... a plan to finally 'stick it to the man'... a plan that ROCKS!
