One of the reasons this is so good is because unlike other interactive DVDs, this DVD sets the viewer up in the scenario that they are stranded in the middle of nowhere, and only by answering questions given to them by the legendary Tom Baker can they actually make their way home back to Earth. This is a refreshing twist on the interactive DVD and does much to keep this interesting and compelling.

You are given several categories to choose from – from Amazing Craft to the New Millennium. When you select a category, Tom Baker pops up and provides a witty comment to describe the category such as –

“They had great shoulder pads in the 1980s”

There are hundreds of questions from generations of science fiction – not just movies but literature as well. This is one of the most comprehensive quizzes out there and ensures that you will always be asked a variety of questions each time you play.

As you answer the questions, you are brought 1,000 light years closer to home if you get a correct answer. Each round a wormhole pops up that steers your craft towards danger. If you answer incorrectly, this wormhole will suck you inside and spit you out further away from home. Again, another spin on the standard Interactive Quiz.

All in all this is a terrific DVD, made ever the better for having Tom Baker as the presenter. The man is a legend and expresses such a passion for the subject matter that makes this very addictive and compelling.
