Detailed Information

Relocate to the ‘Costa del Crime’ as gangster film The Business is here for you to rent on DVD. From Nick Love, the writer and director of The Football Factory, and starring Danny Dyer, The Business is a savagely funny story of passion, crime, and friendships tested to the limit.

When Frankie (Danny Dyer; The Football Factory, Human Traffic) ends up on the wrong side of the law in 1980s London, a friend arranges for him to deliver cash to an ex-pat gang boss on the sun-drenched Costa del Sol. Frankie hits it off with gangster Charlie (Tamer Hassan; The Football Factory, Layer Cake), and soon finds himself a job as his driver, despite the disapproval of Charlie’s psychotic business partner Sammy (Geoff Bell; Mean Machine, Green Street).

It’s a life of sun, sea, and drug-busting violence, and Frankie finds himself getting in deeper every day. Under Charlie’s guidance, Frankie helps smuggle marijuana across the straits from Morocco. However, after a falling out with Sammy, and despite warnings from the local major, Charlie and Frankie venture into the lucrative but far more dangerous world of cocaine smuggling.

Frankie also develops an eye for Sammy’s sexy girlfriend Carly (Georgina Chapman; Bride & Prejudice), something not looked favourably upon by Sammy himself – a man that likes to shoot people for fun… As jealousy, greed and betrayal are thrown into the mix, will Frankie survive to tell the tale, or is he out of his depth?

Accompanied by a blistering Eighties soundtrack, The Business is slick, stylish and more fun than a Pina Colada pool party! The DVD is packed with special features including an audio commentary from Danny Dyer and Nick Love, a ‘making of’ featurette, deleted scenes and an alternative ending. Add to your list now!
