Pawel Pawlikowski's adaptation of Douglas Kennedy's book, THE WOMAN IN THE FIFTH stars Ethan Hawke as down-on-his-luck American writer Tom Ricks, who moves to Paris to be closer to his daughter. Tom also has dreams of living the life of a bohemian Parisian novelist, but the reality is rather more mundane. Things take a dramatic turn, however, when he meets and is seduced by a mysterious widow called Margit (Kristin Scott Thomas), a woman with a mysterious and possibly deadly past.
