Jack Nicholson stars as an aging music industry executive with a penchant for much younger women. He accompanies his latest girlfriend, Marin (Amanda Peet) to her mother's beach house for a dirty weekend, but things turn awkward when he suffers a heart attack. When he is left in the care of Marin's mother, Erica (Diane Keaton) and a handsome young doctor (Keanu Reeves), a love triangle begins to emerge as both men realise they are in love with Erica.
