The luxury cruise liner Argo Thetis has been requisitioned by the Greek government to safeguard a priceless national treasure. However, the vessel is soon attacked by a submarine, and the fuel tanks ignite, blasting a hole in the hull. The ship plunges to the bottom of the ocean, and with the crew trapped in a tiny airtight compartment, the chances of survival seem slim at best.
