In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...the A-Team.

Looking back at the A-Team you can see why the show took the world by storm. Apart from starring George Peppard (Hannibal Smith) and TV favourite Dirk Benedict (Face), the series also introduced us to the comic genius of Dwight Schultz (Murdoch) and the unforgettable Mr T (B A Baracus).

Originally broadcast in 1984/85, this season of the A-Team features 24 adventures for A-Team fans to enjoy from ‘Bullets and Bikinis’ – a great gangster caper which sees the team take over a hotel in sunny Florida to stop the mob from terrorising the locals; on to ‘Incident At Crystal Lake’ which sees the return of the reoccurring “villain” Colonel Decker – a man who made it his life’s duty to capture The A-Team. Poor Decker… he had the worst troops in the army; like the A-Team, they couldn’t shoot anyone and unfortunately they were all cowards – the A-Team just had to shoot in the air a few times and the brave GI Joes run away.

What is striking about this series of the A-Team, is how enjoyable it all is. On paper, I doubt many people would believe that a gun for hire unit being chased by the army authorities would become prime time family viewing but through clever scripts, great characterisation and exciting action scenes – the A-Team pulls it off, and then some – at its peak, The A-Team was the most popular TV show in the world! For Season 3, I don’t think there is even one bad episode. And 4 per disc, can’t be bad!

Anyway, when writing anything about these classic shows, it is easy to go off on a tangent about how cool they all were. Suffice to say that for quality entertainment, add this to your list, you know you want to! So in the words of Mr T - what ya waiting for – you crazy fool!
