Lords of Dogtown is a fact based fictional story covering the legendary antics of a group of brilliant young skateboarders who came to be known as The Z-Boys. The Z-Boys grew up on the mean streets of Dogtown in Santa Monica, California. Here they relentlessly practiced their skills and tricks, but not in luxurious skateboard arenas, but in the empty swimming pools of unsuspecting suburban homeowners. This pioneered a new type of skateboarding and shot The Z-Boys into the realms of legend.
