The second series of the acclaimed comedy hit sees rising Hollywood star Zach Braff reprising his role of the bungling medic J.D Dorian. Joining J.D. on his ward rounds amid the chaos and disorder of Sacred Heart Hospital are fellow fledging residents Elliot and Turk.
The fresh faced interns of Series 1 are embarking on the next stage of their aspiring medical careers and are now raring to go residents at Sacred Heart Hospital. However they still have lots to learn as they blunder their way through hospital life. Neurotic geek J.D. (Zach Braff), the ditzy but delightful Elliot (Sarah Chalke), wide-eyed Turk (Donald Faison) and sassy Carla (Judy Reyes) are back together for Series 2 and still making the same mistakes! Under the dubious guidance of mad mentors Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins), the older but not much wiser medics get themselves into even more bizarre situations, with unpredictable patients and tangled relationships.

12. MY NEW OLD FRIEND
The doctors are faced with a series of reprisals - Dr. Cox comes up against a hypochondriac, Dr. Kelso a surgical patient and J.D. faces problems with Elliot who is demanding more than just sex.
13. MY PHILOSOPHY
J.D. bonds with a patient who's waiting for a heart transplant and together they discuss their ideas of death. When he has to ask a husband to choose between his pregnant wife or his unborn child he is further affected by the idea of immortality. Meanwhile, Elliot demands a female locker room and Turk proposes to Carla.
14. MY BROTHER, MY KEEPER
Turk is still waiting for Carla to answer his proposal, and asks his brother to stay for a few days to help calm his nerves. But Kevin Turk, who epitomises the happily married man arrives with bad news - his wife has left him.
15. HIS STORY
Elliot meets a nice guy whilst out one evening, but when she finds out he's a male nurse or "murse" at Sacred Heart, she begins to have doubts about him. Carla still will not answer Turk's constant marriage proposals and growing tired of her refusing to answer him, he stops asking. This bothers Carla and after some reflection she calls Turk and agrees to his proposal.
16. MY KARMA
Whilst playing golf on the hospital roof J.D and Turk hit a car and cause an accident. This convinces the pair that they have bad karma and whilst Turk wants to keep it a secret, J.D. thinks things will get better after they come clean about the accident. Meanwhile Jordan confesses to J.D. that Dr. Cox is the real father of her child.
17. MY OWN PRIVATE PRACTICE GUY
A visiting doctor, Dr. Fisher, lets slip a personal secret about Dr. Cox who also feels threatened by how well the visitor is getting on with J.D.
