Terry Jones directs and stars in this version of the classic tales by Kenneth Grahame, co-starring several of his Monty Python associates. Mole (Steve Coogan) finds himself homeless after the weasels bulldoze his burrow. He turns to his friends Ratty (Eric Idle) and Toad (Jones) for help. Toad's passion for motor cars sees him in debt to the weasels, who take over his home, Toad Hall, and evict Toad and his friends. To make matters worse, Toad is thrown in prison after stealing a car.
