Detailed Information

The Last Kiss

“Did you know that the institution of marriage was created when the average person lived to the age of 30”

Zach Braff, Casey Bilson and Jacinda Barrett star in this romantic dromedy written by the man who wrote Crash, Casino Royale, Flags of our Fathers and Million Dollar Baby. Michael is a 29 year old man who has it all – a great job, good friends and the perfect girlfriend; while at a friend’s wedding, he meets another woman and starts to question his ‘perfect’ life.

Zach Braff stars as Michael, a 29 year-old architect whose girlfriend Jenna (Jacinda Barrett), who he has been with for three years, is pregnant. Soon to become a father and turn 30 around the same time, Michael is scared that his perfect life is over. In turn, his three best friends all have problems of their own – all dreading their 30s and the reality of having to ‘grow up’.

One friend Chris (Casey Affleck) has been finding married life unbearable since his wife had a baby; while another friend - Izzy (Michael Weston) has become a wreck after being dumped by his girlfriend while Kenny (Eric Christian Olsen) jumps out of every relationship when things start to get serious.

At a friend’s wedding, Michael meets Kim (Rachel Bilson), a student who is exciting, happy and completely care-free. Michael finds himself drawn to this younger woman, connecting in a different way to that of him and his girlfriend. Michael decides to go behind his partner’s back and see where things go. When Jenna finds out and his life starts to fall apart, he realises he has made a massive mistake and tries to get her back.

Zach Braff has done it again, following his excellent performance in Garden State, Braff puts in another great performance – it feels very natural and honest. I’m sure everyone can appreciate the doubts he has about the direction of his life – being scared about what comes next. Braff’s co-stars, which include Tom Wilkinson and Rachel Bilson are great too, really supporting Braff as well as leading in their own unique storylines. As you would expect from the guy behind Crash, all the stories intertwine to keep things interesting for the viewer.

All in all The Last Kiss is a great dromedy with likable characters, funny moments and plenty of poignant, touching scenes. Top class entertainment. Add to your list now!
