One of the most popular action shows of the early 1980s, KNIGHTRIDER inspired a devoted following because of its high-tech premise and the appeal of star David Hasselhoff. Hasselhoff plays Michael Knight, a former cop who is paired with KITT, an indestructible car with numerous special functions, including artificial intelligence. Michael and KITT roam the country, righting wrongs and stopping criminal plots. This collection includes all the episodes from the third season.

Knight Rider – Season 3
By John Sheridan, Blockbuster.co.uk
The world’s biggest guilty pleasure is back and looking great on DVD!
Hoffmania. unless you’re German, it is unlikely you understand the phenomenon that is David Hasslehoff however watching the third season of Knight Rider, it’s easy to see why this series always appears as one of the most highly regarded of the eighties.
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past twenty years, David Hasslehoff stars as Michael Knight, a former cop who drives around the USA in K.I.T.T. a talking car with artificial intelligence, made of a material that is impervious to all force so bullets and knives can’t hurt him. Well, that said – but Michael likes to make it interesting by keeping the window down throughout most of the series. Hmmm.
Strangely enough in the first episode of Season 3, (which is an extended episode) K.I.T.T. actually gets hit by a missile and, well, against the logic of the show – he gets completely and utterly ruined. Michael’s British boss’ reaction to seeing this was - “Blimey!”
Anyway, needless to say, they soon fix K.I.T.T. back up in their huge moving truck headquarters and within hours, he’s back on the road with a shiny coat of paint and new super abilities. It’s like the AA on steroids!
Seriously though, Season 3 of Knight Rider features some more fantastic TV adventures that the whole family will enjoy. The special effects actually stand up quite well even though this is around twenty years old! The clothes and soundtrack are the only things that remind you that this is set in the eighties.
So whether you are a Hoffmaniac or simply looking for good quality DVD entertainment from yesteryear – get out of your car and add this to your list!
