This fast-paced, historical thriller is based on the true story of the Beast Of The Gevaudan, a vicious creature that terrorised mid-18th century France. Attacking women and children, tearing their flesh to pieces, a brilliant young scientist, Gregoire de Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan), is the only man who can stop this terror. Aided by the enigmatic Mani (Mark Dacascos) an Iroquoi Indian, Sylvie (Monica Bellucci) a bewitching Italian courtesan, the Marquis Thomas d'Apacher (Jeremie Renier) an enlightened young noble and Marianne (Emilie Dequenne) a beautiful aristocrat who has stolen his heart, their quest will take them deep into the dark forests of Gevardan, to the edge of terror and beyond.
