Detailed Information

"Magnolia" meets "Pulp Fiction" in 13 CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ONE THING, a poignant and moving examination of how even the smallest gestures and decisions can profoundly change the course of someone's life.

Matthew McConaughey (How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days; Sahara), John Turturro (Collateral Damage; O Brother Where Art Thou?), Alan Arkin (America's Sweethearts; Jakob The Liar), Amy Irving (Hide And Seek) and Clea DuVall (The Grudge; Identity) star as five New Yorkers whose destinies become intertwined without any of them even realizing it.

A gifted academic approaching middle age and tormented by mid-life crisis decides to change his life. A rising young attorney's plans are threatened by a catastrophic error of judgement. A woman is devastated by her husband's infidelity. An envious businessman seeks revenge on a cheerful coworker. And an optimistic young woman is waiting for a miracle.

THIRTEEN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT ONE THING weaves five contemporary stories together into a single tale that examines the dramatic impact people have on one another. With a carefully constructed narrative that crisscrosses in time and doubles back on itself, the film offers an unusual glimpse into each character's past, present and future. Hailed by Total Film as "ambitious, intelligent filmmaking" and by Marie Claire as "sparklingly brilliant", it is a film about fate, karma, second chances and, ultimately, hope.
