The Call of Duty series has been a huge success on a number of platforms. It's part of the UK Wii launch line-up. The familiar action combat game makes maximum use of the Wii's revolutionary control system to give players the most involving experience yet offered by the series on any platform.

The ususal Cal of Duty features are all here: intense battle sequences, endless swarms of enemy troups and ear-splitting explosions. But now there are more of everything, more explosions and enemies than ever before. You take part in the Normandy breakout campaign that took the allied froces from the beaches of northern France, through to liberate Paris.

Built from the ground up for next-gen platforms like the Wii, Call of Duty 3 features extendsive use of laser scanning technology, to create a more realistic battlefield experience. Weapons and soldier uniforms are accurately recreated. An improved physics engine enables enemy soldiers to destroy soft cover, so items of scenery you hide behind can be eroded by gunfire and explosions - so you need to keep on the move. But you can do the same to them.

The addition to the game of Battle Actions make close up combat, planting explosives, rowing a boat and other in-game activities more involving than ever before. And the creative use of the Wii controllers makes them even more involving than on any other platform.

This time round, the tried and tested gameplay of Call of Duty is more strategic than ever, requiring the player to alter his tactics depending on which approach to a mission objective he chooses to take. The mission path branches depending on the route and approach you take.
