Bruce Wayne is a rich playboy by day, masked vigilante by night. His vast fortune allows him to maintain his dual identity, whilst secretly developing an elaborate array of high-tech vehicles and gadgets which he employs in his never-ending quest to save Gotham City from its criminal elements. This collection sees the 'Caped Crusader' facing off against Jack Nicholson's deranged Joker in the original BATMAN film. He is pitted against a trio of villains in BATMAN RETURNS – the freakish Penguin, deadly seductress Catwoman, and power-hungry capitalist Max Schreck. In BATMAN FOREVER, Gotham City is once again under siege, this time from the mind-controlling Riddler and his diabolical associate Harvey Two-Face. Things get environmental in the fourth instalment, BATMAN AND ROBIN, when our hero returns to battle the abominable Mr Freeze and green-thumbed Poison Ivy. Throughout the series, Batman is aided and abetted by his trusty old butler Albert, enthusiastic sidekick Robin, and Alfred's spirited niece (who assumes the identity of Batgirl), as well as his allies down at the police department.
