Indonesian action film in which a SWAT team becomes trapped inside an apartment block ruled by a ruthless gangster and his army of killers, thugs and drug-dealers. The largely rookie squad is led by an over-cautious Lieutenant into the building, where it is quickly outsmarted and out-gunned. Their objective is to bring to justice the drugs baron who resides on the building's top floor, but this proves far easier said than done.

This film may be a great film but be aware ppl that blockbuster fail to tell everyone that this fun is subtitled so unless you speak one or all of the asian languages I wouldn't bother you might aswell find the book

Blockbuster Need to State Language Options
If there was a bricks an mortar Blockbuster available to me it would have been possible to read that this was a foreign language film. Please Blockbuster, state these things on your site. I've heard great things about this movie but I simply cannot watch dubbed or subtitles action movies.

Be warned its subtitled
You could see this film had the potential to be great however like the previous persons comment I also fell into the trap of a subtitled film which is NOT clearely defined anywhere. If I wanted to read then I would have got a book.
Only the second dvd i'v got from here - the first film was damaged and wouldn't play and the second turns out to be subtitled.
Not looking good Blockbuster!

Top-notch Action
The Raid is one of the best films around for pure action, the fight scenes are just some of the best in class. The story is simple, though well-acted and finely delivered, its there to set the scene for some frenetic, excellent action.
