You can only become a VIP Gamer member by signing up online, having first registered at blockbuster.co.uk. You cannot join up at a Blockbuster store. To become a VIP Gamer member you must register your details with Us, including your name, date of birth and e-mail address. By doing so you agree to be bound by these Terms and to Us processing your personal details in accordance with Our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to Our Privacy Statement you should not become a member of VIP Gamer or use the Site. Upon receipt of your details We will send a confirmatory e-mail to you confirming your membership details. You may not share these details with any third parties. Unless Blockbuster is at fault, you are responsible for all use of and for protecting the confidentiality of your email verification, username and password. You must notify Us immediately of any unauthorised use of them or any other breach of security regarding Our Site that comes to your attention. You can access your VIP Gamer membership account by visiting the VIP Gamer page of the Site and entering your login details.

Membership of VIP Gamer is only available to residents of the Territory who are aged 18 or over. Each person shall only be entitled to one VIP Gamer membership account and you may not merge your VIP Gamer membership account with other people. Membership of VIP Gamer is solely for individual consumers and not businesses or commercial entities. Our employees are not entitled to become VIP Gamer members. We reserve the right to refuse any application for any reason.

Members of VIP Gamer will earn a reward point for each one penny (1p) they spend on the following at the Site and at Blockbuster stores in the Territory: (i) purchased games, games hardware and gaming accessories/peripherals; (ii) games rentals (pay per rent at the Site and in-store rentals); and (iii) online rental subscription at the Site.

To earn reward points for Blockbuster in-store transactions you must also: (i) be a Blockbuster store member (primary account holder); (ii) have linked your Blockbuster store membership and your VIP Gamer membership (see section 5 below for details); and (iii) show your Blockbuster store membership card at the till to Blockbuster staff when making the relevant transaction. Please note that currently there are no Blockbuster stores in Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.

To earn reward points for Blockbuster online transactions, you must be logged into your VIP Gamer account at the Site at the time you undertake the transaction.

In relation to both online and in-store transactions, reward points will only be earned at the time of the transaction and cannot be added at a later date.

You can also earn reward points by undertaking any of the activities which are referred to on the VIP Gamer membership area of the Site as attracting reward points.

We will send you emails from time to time with a statement showing the number of your reward points and details of Our latest offers for VIP Gamer members, including the rewards which you can obtain with your reward points.

We may at any time change: (i) the transactions and/or actions which attract reward points; (ii) the number of reward points earned for a particular action or transaction; (iii) the amount of spend necessary to earn reward points; (iv) the number of points per spend; (v) the number of reward points necessary to obtain a benefit or reward and/or (vi) the number of participating Blockbuster stores.

If a purchase or rental, on which reward points are earned or redeemed, is cancelled or reversed (including where a product is returned in accordance with Blockbuster's returns policy), We will reverse the associated points earned or redeemed.

By logging on to your VIP Gamer membership account on the Site you can see the reward points you have earned and you can choose what to redeem your reward points for.

You can obtain a reward by redeeming your reward points online on the Site. For redemptions made online on the Site your chosen reward will, as applicable, either be added to your basket at no cost, or you will be issued with a discount code which you can use when paying for the item.

You can also redeem your reward points on the Site for an eCoupon, which you can then use to obtain a reward in a Blockbuster store in the Territory. To redeem an eCoupon in-store you will also need to be a Blockbuster store member (primary account holder).

The redemption of reward points is, in all cases, subject to the availability of your chosen reward.

Reward points can only be redeemed once they show on your VIP Gamer account. You should note that there may be a delay between the time of your transaction and the time your reward points appear in your VIP Gamer account. Reward points must be redeemed within one year after the last date a reward point was earned.

Reward points are solely for your personal use and are not transferable or resalable and can only be redeemed in accordance with these Terms. The reward points and the rewards have no cash redemption value and cannot be exchanged for cash or gift vouchers.

Rewards can only be redeemed by the use of points. Cash cannot be used for either full or partial payment for rewards.

If you are a current Blockbuster store member (primary account holder) in the Territory, you can link your store membership to your VIP Gamer membership by completing your store membership details during the Site registration or, once registered, in your ‘my details’ section of the Site. Alternatively, if you use an eCoupon gained from your VIP Gamer membership in a Blockbuster store at the same time as using your Blockbuster store membership account, the two accounts will be automatically linked.

Only the named primary account holder of a Blockbuster store membership account, and not any authorised renters on that store membership account, can link their store membership account to their VIP Gamer membership account.

You may tell Us that you wish to cancel your VIP Gamer membership at any time by following the instructions on how to cancel in the ‘Help’ section of the VIP Gamer area of the Site. Your cancellation can take up to seven working days to come into effect, and you will lose any reward points you have not redeemed.

A breach of these Terms or an abuse of VIP Gamer, in both cases as reasonably determined by Us, will entitle Us to cancel your VIP Gamer membership and any rewards points currently held, without prior notice. We reserve the right to take any other action deemed necessary where you are found to have abused VIP Gamer.

We reserve the right to terminate VIP Gamer or vary these Terms at any time. If We terminate VIP Gamer or change these Terms We shall take all reasonable and appropriate steps to make you aware of such termination or changes. If We change these Terms and you do not agree to the Terms as amended, please cancel your VIP Gamer membership in the manner referred to above.

Any failure, or delay by Us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall not prevent Us from being able to enforce that, or any other, right or remedy at a later time. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court or other competent authority, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.

You agree that We may transfer any of Our rights and/or transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of Our obligations under these Terms. Where We do so, We will take steps to ensure that it does not affect your ability to rely on the rights that you may have under these Terms. These Terms are personal to you and are entered into by you for your own benefit and not for the benefit of any third party – you may only transfer or assign your rights under these Terms with Our prior consent, which We will not unreasonably withhold.

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Web Site Terms and Conditions these Terms shall prevail to the extent that such conflict relates to your membership of VIP Gamer.

All notices shall be given:

• to Us via post addressed to Online Service Team, FREEPOST Blockbuster, Harefield Place, The Drive, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB10 8AQ; or
• to you at either the e-mail or postal address you provide during any registration or ordering process or by Us publishing relevant information on the Site.

Notice will be deemed received either when an email is received in full (or else on the next business day if it is received on a weekend or public holiday in the place of receipt), three days from the date of posting where any notice is posted, or immediately upon publication of any relevant information on the Site.

These Terms are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with English law. You agree that the courts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms.
