Blockbuster may use Personal Information collected online in the following ways:

• to develop and improve the products, benefits and services We or carefully selected business partners offer to Our registered users and other users of the Site;
• to enable users to become registered users of the Site and to join VIP Gamer;
• to operate and administer VIP Gamer, including to send you statements by email showing the number of your reward points and details of offers and rewards for VIP Gamer members. If you use a voucher obtained through your VIP Gamer membership to make a purchase in a Blockbuster store at the same time as using your Blockbuster store membership account your store membership will be automatically linked to your VIP Gamer membership. If You are a Blockbuster store member (primary account holder) You can also choose to link the two accounts together on this Site. Any VIP Gamer reward points earned in-store or online will appear on your statements;
• for processing customer orders;
• for Site administration and development (for example to analyse usage trends and to make improvements to the Site in accordance with such usage trends);
• for processing job applications submitted online to Us;
• to contact you by post and email, or by SMS if you are a member of our Text Club, to inform you about any of Our products and services (including those of selected business partners) that We think may be of interest. Your personal information and payment card details will be processed by CyberSource Limited and CyberSource Corporation (together "CyberSource") for the purposes set out in this section of our Privacy Statement.

For the purposes of dealing with payment transactions and to protect against fraud your information will be processed on our behalf by CyberSource. This means that your credit/debit card details are shared with CyberSource and stored by CyberSource outside of the EEA. CyberSource encrypt your credit/debit card information and use a secure server to process your personal information and payment card details.

We may carry out fraud and security checks with CyberSource and other organisations involved in fraud prevention. If we or they suspect or identify fraud we and/or they may record this and may also pass this information to other organisations for the purpose of fraud prevention. We, CyberSource and these other organisations may use this information for fraud prevention purposes in the future.

CyberSource has been certified as being compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). To date, these are the most stringent security requirements in the industry concerning how payment card data is secured, technologically as well as from a process standpoint.

Blockbuster complies with the Data Protection Act of 1998 (the "Act") and with all other applicable UK data protection and privacy legislation. Accordingly Blockbuster is notified with the Office of the Information Commissioner as a 'data controller' for the purposes of the Act.

We take the security of your Personal Information seriously and take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of it.
