As a member of our customer services representative team, you would be paid every fortnight. However actual pay is determined by the amount of contracted hours worked and your current level of experience. Assistant, Store or District Managers are paid on the 24th of each month. Salary is dependent on experience and location.

How much holiday time would I be entitled to?
The Blockbuster holiday year runs from 1st April to the 31st March. In each holiday year you would be paid holiday entitlement stored in hours. This would include any entitlement given in respect of any Bank Holidays. The number of holidays that you would be entitled to each holiday year would be dependant on the contracted hours. If you decide to reduce or increase your contracted hours, your holiday entitlement would be readjusted accordingly. Your Line Manager would inform you as to what your new entitlement would be.

How long before I receive any staff discount?
You would not have to work a qualifying period to be entitled to any discounts. For new retail games or DVDs, you would obtain a 15% discount, while traded in games and DVDs would obtain you 20% discount. You would obtain a 5% discount off hardware, e.g. games consoles or DVD players.

What benefits would I be entitled to?
As a Store or District Manager you would be entitled to life assurance to the value of three times your salary. You could also participate in many of the regional incentive schemes. You would also benefit from a store uniform and would be able to join one of the stores.

All employees qualify for ten free rentals per week.

How can I apply for a job?
You can apply for a job quickly and easily. For Management positions, choose your preferred job role on the Blockbuster Website, find vacancies which are local to your area and apply online here.
For customer sales roles, download the application form here and hand in at your preferred store of employment

Where can I check for local vacancies?
For customer sales representative roles you will need to speak to your local store manager as we do not hold customer sales representative vacancies at the support centre. The store manager will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

How old do I need to be to work at Blockbuster?
Due to the Video's Recording Act, Blockbuster employees need to be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Blockbuster does not support applicants who are looking to gain a visa, the company may review requests from colleagues within the organisation.
