What is the VIP Gamer club?
VIP Gamer is the name of our EXCLUSIVE VIP Gamer club for gamers like you. You earn points for the things you do with Blockbuster – both online and in-store, and then exchange these points for money off vouchers, free stuff, exclusive offers and more.

Does it cost any money to join?
Not at all – our VIP Gamer club is completely FREE to join. It is our way of rewarding you for being a loyal Blockbuster customer.

How do I become a VIP Gamer?
It’s really easy to join; all you need to do is click on the VIP Gamer link at the top right hand side of every page and click the green button – ‘Join Up Now’.
You can then follow the on-screen instructions and you’ll be up and running in a few minutes.

Do I get a card?
Don’t worry; we won’t give you another piece of plastic to keep safe. Once signed up, you can continue to use Blockbuster as usual and as long as you have linked up your Blockbuster store or online membership account with your VIP Gamer membership, we’ll know that you’re a VIP Gamer.

How do I collect points?
There are loads of ways to collect points as a VIP Gamer, from renting or buying games in-store or online to watching trailers or filling out a survey. We reward you for being a Blockbuster member.
You get 1 point for every 1p that you spend with us online or in your local Blockbuster store. So if you spend £1 at Blockbuster, you get 100 points.

What can I spend my points on?
Whatever you like from our range of great rewards! These change every month, so make sure you come back for the latest offers and deals.
Everything from FREE game rentals, money off games, extra Top Tickets, EXCLUSIVE competitions to FREE games and consoles. It’s completely up to you – you can spend your points or keep saving for better rewards.

How do I know how many points I have?
You can log in to your VIP Gamer account at any time to find out how many points you can spend. We will also send you an email statement once a month with your points balance and the latest rewards and exclusive competitions.

Do I get points for non-gaming products?
As a VIP Gamer you get points for all games related activities as well as selected surveys, competitions and trailers.

Can I only get points online?
Not at all, you can get points both online and in your local Blockbuster store. All you need to do is make sure that you are signed up as a VIP Gamer first and your account is linked up, before heading to your local store.

How do I link up my online VIP Gamer account with my in-store membership?
All you need to do to link up your online VIP Gamer account with your in-store Blockbuster account is enter your store membership card number (long number on the back) into your online account.
You can do this when you first join the club, or you can update your details afterwards through the ‘My Details’ area of your ‘My Account’.

Why aren’t my points showing on my account?
In the case of in-store activity, it may take up to 48 hours for us to successfully allocate your VIP Gamer points. In the case of online purchases, we will only issue points on dispatch of the goods.
You must be logged in to your VIP Gamer account online when making an online purchase. You must have linked up your store membership card with your VIP Gamer account in order to collect points from in-store transactions.
It can take up to 48 hours from entering your store membership number online for your account to be linked, any transactions that take place in-store before your accounts are linked will not be awarded points.

Why can’t I access all rewards?
You can spend the points you earn on rewards. As you earn more points, you’ll unlock new VIP Gamer levels that give you access to bigger and better rewards.

Will I lose my points as I level up?
The level you are on is based on the total number of points you have earned as a VIP Gamer, so whether you spend all your points or horde them for the higher levels, you won’t lose out.
You can use the points you’ve earned to exchange them for any reward in any level that you have unlocked. You’ll only lose your points if you haven’t engaged with Blockbuster for 12 months.

What is ‘Try before you buy’?
Try before you buy is an exclusive benefit of being a VIP Gamer. Whenever you Pay Per Rent a game at blockbuster.co.uk, as a VIP Gamer, we will offer you your money off the game if you’d like to buy a copy either new or pre-owned at blockbuster.co.uk or the Blockbuster Marketplace.

How do I get my ‘Try before you buy’ discount?
Whenever you rent a game, an extra reward will be added to your VIP Gamer dashboard. This is unlocked at level one, and will cost you no points. With this you can claim your discount at blockbuster.co.uk or the Blockbuster Marketplace.
This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
You will still earn points for the money that you spend with Blockbuster.

When do you send me my monthly email statement?
We will send you your monthly email statement at the end of each month, along with all the latest offers and exclusive competitions.
