| | Four veterans of the French Resistance, reunited nearly thirty years after the war, join forces to meet adventure, danger and excitement as perilous as anything they faced during the war. Based on Paul Gallico`s best-selling novel. The Zoo Gang are named after the codenames used during their time in the Resistance:
The Fox: Stephen Halliday (Brian Keith) - a former OSS agent and now an important business executive in New York.
The Elephant: Tommy Devon (John Mills) - a former Commando officer now running a shop in Nice.
The Leopard: Manouche Roget (Lilli Palmer) - an ex-resistance fighter whose husband was killed by the Gestapo.
The Tiger: Alec Marlowe (Barry Morse) - a Lieutenant in the RCAF, he now runs an auto repair shop in Vancouver.
Reviving the team, they track down and capture the man who betrayed them, putting the reward towards the building of a children`s hospital. But the hospital needs more money so together they use their wits and ingenuity from their base in Nice to wage a new war, this time against crime - they are the Zoo Gang!
