When Pepa Marcus (Carmen Maura) is dumped by her lover she makes it her mission to find out why! But after questioning his wife and son (a very young and cute Antonio Banderas), and consulting a lawyer on his past criminal activities, who also turns out to be his NEW lover, she is no clearer! The trail leads her closer to finding out more about her ex-lover but also closer to having a nervous breakdown...

The film features many of Almodovar's favourite actors and is full of zany characters and outrageous situations. This satire on the battle of the sexes will have you crying with laughter.
