The Twins Effect
Eastern pop music sensation the Twins (Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung) star in a tale about an evil Duke's attempt to kill and collect the blood of a royal family of European vampires in order to become all powerful. The only surviving member of the family travels to Hong Kong, only to complicate his struggle by falling in love with a mortal girl who just happens to have two vampire hunters for brothers. Jackie Chan makes a cameo appearance.
The Twins Effect
takes you straight into the action packed world of vampire hunters Reeve (Ekin Cheng) and Lila (Josie Ho), who are part of a secret organisation sent to rid the world of troublesome bloodsucking vampires. They undertake a spectacular and brutal battle against Duke Dekotes (Mikey Hardt) the leader of a new order of vampires who are on there own mission, to collect the blood of all five royal vampires in order to be able to walk in daylight.
The battle ends in tragedy when Lila is killed and a devastated Reeve pledges never to fall for his partner again. With the arrival of his new partner Gypsy (Gillian Chung), who has idolised Reeve for many years Reeve is thrown into yet more turmoil as there is an instant attraction is apparent.
Meanwhile Helen (Charlene Choi) the sister of Reeve meets and falls for the vampire prince Kazaf, a good vampire who would rather die than suck the blood from humans. Kazaf is in danger though as Duke Dekotes needs his blood in order to walk in daylight and complete his mission. Reeve soon discovers Kazaf is a vampire and follows him only to find Duke Dekotes is waiting for the prince and a dramatic final throw down.
Thrilling entertainment – make sure you watch the special features for Jackie Chan’s music video! - yes Jackie sings!
