Now stranded 50,000 light years away from the Alpha Quadrant, Captain Janeway and the crew of the Federation Starship Voyager take on alien terrorists, temporal paradoxes and the even the dreaded Borg Collective during their sixth year in the Delta Quadrant. Season highlights include a space battle to the death between Voyager and a renegade Federation starship (Equinox, Part II); a visit to an alien world where time passes much faster than anywhere else in the galaxy (Blink of an Eye); Voyager's history is rewritten when Kes travels back in time to "save herself" from the Voyager crew (Fury); while Starfleet Command is finally able to contact Voyager on a regular basis thanks to the work done by everyone's favourite madman from ST TNG and the A-Team - Lt. Barclay (Dwight Schultz) in (Pathfinder).

Seven of Nine takes an even more important role on Voyager - becoming a surrogate mother to a group of Borg Children which have been liberated from the collective (Collective, Good Shepherd) while the Doctor seeks to evolve to become an ECH - the Emergency Command Hologram. The series ends on a high when Janeway and crew take on the might of the Borg Queen in the series cliffhanger. (Unimatrix Zero Part 1)
