Former Borg drone Seven of Nine (played by the sexy Jeri Ryan) joins Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and the crew of the USS Voyager as they take on the Borg and other hostile species on their journey home. Season 4 of Star Trek Voyager combines fresh and fast adventure with unexpected plot twists and fantastic special effects.

Star Trek: Voyager is the only Star Trek series whose title sequence remained virtually unchanged throughout its run, however season 4 sees two fundamental casting changes with the departure of Kes (Jennifer Lein) in 'The Gift', and the introduction of the Borg Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) in Scorpion Part 2.

Jeri Ryan turned down the role of Seven of Nine four times and she only finally accepted the part after repeated lobbying by executive producer Jeri Taylor. Her introduction and the increased use of explosive special effect sequences is credited with saving the series as they resulted in a massive revival in ratings.
