Helena is a frustrated 15 year old girl, she lives in a family of circus performers although she often dreams of leaving and running away to live a ‘normal’ life. One day, after a fight with her parents about her future, her mother falls ill. Helena convinces she is to blame for her mothers illness because of them arguing. On the eve of her mothers surgery she dreams that she has been transported to a weird and wonderful new world. Two opposing queens, bizarre beasts and masked men and women all inhabit this strange new world. However, not soon after she arrives, the white witch falls ill and becomes up to Helena to find the MirrorMask in order to save her. However while she quests for the MirrorMask she starts to get the feeling that all that she is experiencing may not simply just be a dream…
