In a desperate attempt to prove that a late colleague war innocent of treason, a young scientist undergoes an experiment in which his fived senses are reduced to nil. Dr Longman, after a long period of isolation in which he is suspended in a tank of water for hour after hour, vanishes into a world of his own and is 'persuaded' to change his most fundamental beliefs. The direction that this strange in personality takes and the frightening glimpses into experiments actully undertaken combine to make 'the Mind Benders' a startling human drama.
