Brosnan delivers a memorable performance as a less than noble down-on-his-luck hit man, Julian Noble, who spends most of his time getting drunk and chasing girls far too young for him. One day while in a bar in Mexico he meets Danny, a blue collar business man trying to land a big deal. While in conversation Julian becomes jealous of Danny’s simple existence and befriends him. He finds out that Danny managed to marry his high school sweetheart, Carolyn, or Bean as she is often known, although he did loose his son at a young age in a terrible accident.

While at a Bull Fight one day, Julian reveals to Danny what it is he does for a living. At first Danny is understandably sceptical. However after he is personally shown an example of his expertise by Julian he realises he’s telling the truth. Julian then tries to get Danny to help him with his next hit, Danny is dead set against this and intends to end his and Julian’s short friendship. However little does Danny know that this will not be the last time he will be in the company of Julian, the lost hit man.
