Would-be boxer Bobby (Favreau) dreams of settling down in domestic bliss with his stripper girlfriend (Famke Janssen). His lifelong friend Ricky (Vaughn) dreams of being a gun-toting, babe-attracting mafia hotshot.

So when they're offered a quick job for Los Angeles mob boss Max (Peter Falk), Bobby reluctantly agrees and Ricky jumps at the chance.

Whisked away to New York City's criminal underworld, Bobby is determined to do exactly what Max told them to do: stand around and look menacing. Ricky has other ideas. Before you can say "cosa nostra" he's living his idea of the mob high life - from the most expensive clubs to manhattan's most ravishing "escorts".

But when the time comes for the boys to do their tough guy stuff, nothing goes as planned and soon they find themselves risking their lives as they stumble into the fast lane of organised crime...
