Remember the 1970s? Sam Tyler doesn't - he was only four at the time...

After a near-fatal car accident while trying to save his girlfriend and work partner from a killer, Sam finds himself mysteriously transported back to 1973. Confused by his new and outdated surroundings, Sam frantically tries to return to the present, without success. Frightened and alone, Sam must quickly come to terms with what has happened by doing the one thing he knows best - his job.

Time after time, returning back to the present eludes Sam. He is trapped in a time warp and something beyond his control is keeping him there. The murderer began his killing spree in 1973 and the police force of the time need his help to solve this and other crimes.

Will Sam catch the killer? Will he be able to get back to the present and rescue Maya? Or has he gone crazy? Has he really travelled back in time?
