A gay couple, Albin and Renato, (beautifully played by Michel Serrault and Ugo Tognazzi) living in St Tropez have their happily ordered lives turned upside down when Renato's son announces that he is getting married. The fiancee and her very straight parents are coming to dinner and the guys set about trying to conceal their very camp lifestyle and their very loud transvestite club downstairs!

This great Gallic romp - which inspired the hit Hollywood comedy starring Robin Williams THE BIRDCAGE - is a delight from beginning to end.
