After a riding accident fourteen-year-old Grace Maclean becomes emotionally and physically scarred. Her mother, Annie, seeks the help of a 'horse whisperer' - someone who has a gift for curing horses, and finds Tom in Montana who helps to rebuild the shattered lives of all tbose affected by the accident.
