It all begins in 1968. Newcomer Paul Bettany is Gangster. He’s come to
work for big-time Freddie Mays, The Butcher of Mayfair and he likes what he
sees… the money, the girls, the suits, the power, the violence. Gangster
is good at what he does, very good. He frightens people and one day he’s
going to frighten Freddie, although he doesn’t know it yet!
Freddie and Gangster make a great team
until the day Freddie meets Karen and Gangster starts to feel threatened, shout
out even, and nobody shuts out Gangster, nobody… not even Freddie Mays!
When a rival gang boss Lennie Taylor
hatches a plot to kill Freddie and take over his territory, Gangster finds out
about it and puts together a plan which will take out Lennie and Freddie at the
same time. With Lennie dead and Freddie inside, Gangster finally finds himself
alone at the top and with only one way to go!
