Brenda Martin (Moore) arrives at hospital suddenly and severely injured. She tells how she has barely escaped being raped and that the hooligans who did this also kidnapped her 4-year-old son. Lorenzo (Jackson) hears Brenda’s story and takes the case vowing to find her son and punish those who did this. This all happens during a protest of other mothers of the town who have previously lost children of their own. To make matters worse the police are blaming these disappearances on an unnamed black man. This puts extra strain on the case and Lorenzo and Brenda’s relationship. Some of the protestors help in the search for Brenda’s son, however after failing to find him Brenda may be ready to make a startling declaration of truth…
