A woman remembers her eight year old son Sam and his death in a plane crash. During a visit to a psychiatrist she is told that her son never existed and that he is a figment of her imagination. Desperate to prove his existence she searches for evidence. The parent of another crash victim also surfaces and joins her in a search for the truth.
