| A horrific tale that examines the risks and fears of motherhood, 'Everything Put Together' is a no-holds-barred freak out. With smirking stealth, the film first illustrates a pleasant suburban picture of idyllic family life for Angie and her husband, Russ, a beautiful young couple expecting their first child. Being pregnant is fun for Angie because her best friend is pregnant too. In fact, there are lots of young couples just like Angie and Russ in the quaint town where they live. Now that the cannon is fully loaded, 'Everything Put Together' fires its explosive blow. Things go terribly wrong: Angie loses her baby and falls into a severe depression. The cheery friends who used to adore Angie and Russ are long gone. In fact, Angie and Russ are shunned by their friends, who treat their misfortune as a potentially contagious disease. As Angie slides further into the darkness of postpartum misery, the chills cut through the suburban silence like screams in the night. A horror film in every respect, from the stylistic jerky handheld camera to the stark close-ups of Angie possessed by maternal rage, 'Everything Put Together' never relents.
