Adapted from Tom Robbins' magical and much loved novel by Gus Van Sant ("My Own Private Idaho"), "Even Cowgirls Get The Blues" stars Uma Thurman as Sissy Hanksaw, Born with unnaturally large thumbs which she uses to become the greatest hitch-hiker in the world. The film follows Sissy across the USA to the Rubber Rose Ranch where FBI agents, cowgirls and whooping cranes all come together in a thrilling climax. Soundtrack by k.d. lang, and a supporting cast which includes Angie Dickinson, Keanu Reeves, Rosanne Barr, Sean Young, Rain Phoenix and John Hurt as The Countess.
