This gentle comedy drama is all about finding your voice. Steven (Adrien Brody) can hardly get a word in at home (with his mother trying to feed him up all the time) but finds he can get attention when he's got his ventriloquist's dummy on the end of his arm. He's got a crush on his employment counsellor and his clueless friends, including rock-chick Fanny (Milla Jovovich) try to help him out. With a good supporting cast including the wonderful Illeana Douglas (GOODFELLAS, GHOST WORLD) who's a joy.
