Howard Spence (Sam Shepard) has seen better days. Once a big shot Western movie star, he now drowns his sorrows and regrets for his selfish and failed life with alcohol, drugs and young women. If he were to die now, nobody would shed a tear over him. Burt then one day Howard learns that he might have a child somewhere from his past. The very idea seems like a ray of hope that his life hasn’t all been in vain. He sets out to find the young man or woman who could be his child, however he may find more than he had bargained for…
