Blockbuster.co.uk's Top TV Doc Martin Clunes is back as the curmudgeonly Dr Martin Ellingham, whose rather abrupt and tactless manner continues to cause mayhem in a small Cornish community.

The new series picks up where the last series finished – with the terrible faux pas from the Doctor to pretty schoolteacher Louisa Glasson. It looked finally as if romance was about to blossom between the couple when they had their first kiss. But then the Doctor accused her of failing in her dental hygiene, and the romantic bubble was burst.

Also in the new series the doctor’s parents make an unexpected visit to Portwenn, and it’s far from a happy gathering. The charismatic Christopher Ellingham woos the villagers with his suave charm, while the doctor’s mother Margaret reveals her secret bitterness.

Martin is again joined by a prestigious cast, which includes Stephanie Cole, Caroline Catz and Ian McNeice.
