Created as a spin off from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami is a wholly different and unique crime drama, with a heavier emphasis on the law enforcements side, this is the perfect marriage of forensics and good old fashioned police work. Produced by the master of the blockbuster, Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun, Pirates of the Caribbean) with former real-life CSI Ann Donohue consulting, this is drama at it’s most exciting, stimulating and exhilarating. The final episode “MIA/NYC - NONSTOP” is the pilot episode for CSI: New York and introduces a whole new team of criminologists to the screen.

Set in humid, heady Florida where the CSIs face up to the criminals and also must contend with the heat, culture and even crocs! Head of the crime lab Horatio Caine came into law enforcement early; at the age of 17 he helped the police track his mother’s killer. Since then, Caine has been committed to helping the victims of crime and using his skills as a CSI to see that justice is served. His investigation team consists of; Calleigh Duquesne a southern belle also known as “bullet girl” Calleigh is the firearms expert in the team; Eric Delko a Cuban-Russian who escaped from Cuba as a child is the underwater recovery expert; trace expert Tim Speedle is the Horatio’s “got-to” man being one of the veterans of the squad; pathologist Alexx Woods is unique by her sympathetic and caring manner to the dead and Yelina Salas the department liaison whose relationship with Horatio may not be strictly professional.

Working as a team, the Miami-Dade piece together the evidence and build their cases to defend the memory of those who often cannot speak for themselves – the victims.
