The winner of six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Catherine Zeta Jones, Chicago reinvents the Broadway musical with style and grace.

Chorus girl Roxie (Zellweger) dreams of life on the Vaudeville stage - but when she kills her lover she is sent to prison.

In jail she meets Velma Kelly, a successful club singer who killed her husband and her sister. Both their stories grab the media's attention and they instantly become rivals, competing for publicity and for their shared lawyer, the suave Billy Flynn (Gere).

Aided by the prison matron, Mrs Morton (Queen Latifah), and Roxie's hapless husband, Roxie and Velma pull every trick in the book to get out of prison.

The songs, including All That Jazz and Razzle Dazzle! are woven into the drama with finesse.

There's also stunning performances from the leading cast, not to mention some fantastic choreography and glamorous sets.
