After a string of bad luck, everyman Peter Rooker (Marcus Thomas), lands the coveted lead role in an amateur production of Cyrano de Bergerac, despite his complete lack of acting experience. Lady Luck has not been kind to Peter; his girlfriend has just dumped him and his work has left him feeling lonely and withdrawn, with no direction to follow. So landing the lead role in Cyrano de Bergerac is just the tonic he needs to get his life back on track. Of course, heÂ?s a little rough around the edges, and needs to work on his self esteem if he is to survive in an industry so full of larger-then-life characters and their jostling egos. This self development spills over into his personal life, and gradually he is able to start taking more chances with opportunities and relationships. But will his new sense of empowerment win him the affections of the filmÂ?s leading lady Grace (Amy Smart)? One for theatre lovers, BIGGER THAN THE SKY is a small but charming film that successfully captures the sense of community and strong personalities so often found in the theatre. The story about finding one's own voice and believing in one's own potential is quite uplifting and inspirational.
