Beerfest

This is one of the most crude, vulgar and coarsest comedies you are likely to come across…. The characters are drunk in nearly every scene and this is going to be essential viewing for students everywhere.

Created by the same man responsible for The Dukes of Hazzard but, way better! Beerfest features Jan ( Paul Soter) and Todd ( Erik Stolhanske), two guys who travel to Oktoberfest in Germany to spread the ashes of their immigrant father at his favourite beer festival.

Pretty much as soon as they arrive, the two guys are escorted by a local to the drinking tournament Beerfest, paid for by the boy’s Uncle. Which Todd and Jan are only too happy to enter as they drink all the time. But when the guys are humiliated in the contest, the two guys travel back to the US and recruit college drinking buddies Fink ( Steve Lemme), Landfiill ( Kevin Heffernan) and Barry (played by director Jay Chandrasekhar) to go back to Beerfest in a years time and bring the title back to the US, which has never been invited to the competition before.

I’m not going to talk much more about the plot of this film – suffice to say that if you have seen and liked The Wedding Crashers, Animal House, Euro Trip or Old School then this film has more drinking, more topless women and more filthy jokes than any of these other films. Enjoy!
