Arthur Ransome was a keen fisherman as well as an author, famous for 'Swallows and Amazons' series, and wrote a series of angling newspaper articles published together in his book 'Rod And Line'. In this film the late Sir Michael Hordern plays the role of Ransome as he goes fishing in the same locations and reads extracts from the book.
