Hospital
Patsy has been having a secret affair with a politician. Unfortunately the tabloids find out and a sex scandal erupts. For Patsy, having her moral rectitude questioned is nothing compared to the indignity of having her true age revealed in the press. She is distraught.
Meanwhile Eddy stubs her toe and insists on immediate surgery. Patsy joins her in hospital for moral support and takes the opportunity for a quick face lift.
Death
After receiving news of her father's death, Edina takes the theme of transience to heart and decides to invest in some immortal works of art. Patsy is called in to help her find the right acquisitions.
Saffy, already horrified at her mother's display of materialism, is further disgusted that Eddy is more upset about putting on weight than the death of her own father.
Saffron arranges for her deceased grandfather to lie in state - in the living room! Now inescapable, the death begins to effect Eddy, but only because she is thinking about her own mortality.
Morocco
Patsy, Eddy and Saffron head to Marrakech, Morocco for a photo-shoot. Edina and Patsy use the trip as an excuse to shop for ethnic fashions, while Saffron turns her attention to the native inhabitants of the region. However things don't go smoothly and they encounter problems from the moment they arrive.
Patsy is unhappy that Saffy has tagged along. She gets her revenge by selling Saffy to white slave traders. Back home, Bubble disables the company computer...
New Best Friend
Eddy is expecting a visit from some old 60s friends who are obsessed with minimalism. Embarking on a mission to remove all the rubbish from her house, she gets into such a state that words are said in haste. She throws out Patsy.
Bereft, both Patsy and Eddy set about looking for a new best friend. Eddy is in for a further loss when she realises her old friends are not quite what she expected. Can Eddy and Patsy live without each other?
Poor
Eddy’s ex-husbands discover that she has been deceiving both of them into paying her alimony, and cut off all payments. Edina fears the worst: poverty. Eddy is forced to take Saffy's advice and cut her expenses.
She exchanges her car for a smaller model and gives up Harrods grocery deliveries. Can Edina and Patsy really live so frugally? A trip to the supermarket ends up costing much more than they bargained for...
Birth
Patsy accidentally burns down the kitchen when she falls asleep with a lit cigarette. Everyone is forced to retire to the living room. Saffy is pleased when Eddy and Patsy decide to have a night out as it means she can ask her boyfriend round.
Unfortunately Mother absent-mindedly locks them in. Eddy, Patsy and Saffy are forced to suffer each others company, but surprisingly become introspective about their lives.
