The Painted Desert - Western pardners Jeff and Cash find a baby boy in the desert and clash over which is to be ‘father.’ Years later when they own adjacent ranches, Bill, the foundling Cash has raised, wants to end the feud by marrying Jeff’s lovely daughter. Texas Terror - Sheriff John Higgins, (John Wayne), quits and goes into prospecting after he thinks he has accidentally killed his best friend in a shoot out with robbers. To make amends, he decides to help his friend’s daughter by becoming the foreman of her ranch. Then she finds out about his past.

Hell Town - In this quality western based on the stories of Zane Grey, John Wayne is cast as the happy-go-lucky cowhand, Dare Rudd, who chooses the wrong side of the law when he falls in with cattle rustlers.
