”Days change, seasons change, people don't change.”

Bruce Willis jumps back into his best shell for the new action thriller… 16 Blocks. Adapting a fairly used formula, this heart-pumping tale begins with the pairing of two unlikely characters. Mos Def plays Eddie Bunker, a slick fast-talking witness in police custody about to be escorted to a courthouse, and Bruce Willis plays Jack Mosley. A cop who has basically given up on life and can’t wait to get this guy off his back.

Jack only has the task of getting this witness to the courthouse 16 blocks away, so you'd think this task would have no problems, but as they both later discover there are certain people out there who do not want him to make it. Thus carnage ensues. Whatever information Eddie has it seems that no one wants him to live long enough to talk about it. Eddie’s only remaining hope is Jack.

Jack has to get him there in two hours before the Grand Jury’s Term expires and it seems like the whole city will do anything to stop this. It becomes more and more difficult for Jack to decide who to trust as even his colleagues seem to be working for a different side. Corruption almost works as a backbone throughout the course of the movie and it looks like these two characters will only have themselves to rely on.

Playing off of each other in every minute these two guys are hugely enjoyable to watch. Besides not liking each other the real excitement of the film comes from watching them get thrown into this huge situation and then seeing how they work together to get out of it. Jack Mosley may be a drunk but he is absolutely determined not to let these crooks get the better of him. Thrilling, entertaining and totally spontaneous throughout, this is one movie that will remind you that Brucey boy truly isn’t done yet.
